JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH

Epistle to the Romans

chapters 1 - 8

Which can well be said to be

the text which started the Protestant Reformation

in earnest (1500),

three hundred years after the Cluny reforms

failed to purify their VERY CORRUPT institutions

and following the trial and the burning of John Wycliffe,

for daring to translate the Greek text,

giving us our earliest English bible,

and five hundred years

following absurd millennial claims

which failed to materialize

(gee, just like now),

probably going a long way

toward causing the Cluny reform attempts

two hundred years later,

now known as the Cluny revival.  

This passage also gave rise

to the reformation battle cry of

sola fide,

sola scriptura,

sola gratia.

soley by faith,  

soley by scripture.  

soley by grace.  

The eight chapters culminate in chapter 8,

"there is now, therefore,

NO CONDEMNATION

to those in Christos/Messiah, Savior",

which then quietly and gracefully segues

into what has come to be known as

"The Ordo Salutis"  

being an exposition regarding 

The Order of Salvation,

which subsequently formed into 

the bedrock of reformation soteriology,

exposing the foundation of our faith.
